When newyou. should be consumed? Should I consume it on an empty stomach?

newyou. chocolates can be consumed at any time of the day. Although most people state that their preferred time to eat it is mid-afternoon or evening, the health benefits can be obtained at any time of the day. Beyond the time you want to enjoy it, have it every day.


The beneficial effects of probiotics and the rest of the ingredients do not depend on whether the intake occurs on an empty stomach or not. The important thing is constancy. Chocolate is a fantastic vehicle for ensuring that probiotics reach the intestine, cacao helps them to overcome stomach acid and small intestine processes without damage.

Can I consume newyou. along with other probiotics?

Yes of course! They are not incompatible but, yes, keep in mind that they will not taste the same to you.


Anyway, if you are following any medical treatment, consult your specialist.

Can I consume newyou. with antibiotics?

Yeah sure! It is always advisable to combine taking antibiotics with probiotics. What you have to keep in mind is that it is not advisable to take them at the same time. We recommend that you take newyou., at the earliest, two hours after taking antibiotics.


If you are taking antibiotics, consult your doctor or chemist / pharmacist.

What happens if I eat more than one serving a day?

If you consume more than one tablet per day of  newyou. nothing happens, except that you have given yourself a high dose of pleasure.


Of course, keep in mind that metabolic changes are a matter of consistency. Consuming an amount higher than the recommended daily dose of probiotic will not get you the beneficial effects sooner.

Can children consume it?

Yes of course. Just keep in mind that the taste of cocoa in high concentrations, like ours, is less friendly to them. newyou. provides all the benefits of cocoa without the additives of traditional chocolate, such as refined sugar. We use 100% all natural agave to sweeten it.


Our probiotic is especially recommended for all ages; in fact, probiotics are added to baby foods in their different phases.



But keep in mind that every  newyou. chocolate bar also has adaptogenic ingredients. Evaluate which is the most suitable for your little one based on each ingredients´ benefit. That’s what variety is for, to personalize.

Can pregnant women consume it?

They could, but it is better to consult with the doctor in advance.

Is it organic / Bio / Ecological?

In fact, we have obtained the official green seal  of approval by the EU that certifies us as users of organic ingredients and guaranteed by necessary external quality control checks. This allows us to provide a healthy and conscienscious product with the care of our health and the planet.

Is it vegan?

All of our ingredients are plant based and no others are necessary to make a healthy tasty chocolate like newyou.

Is it gluten free?

In the newyou. production line no flour of any kind is used, so we can guarantee that it is gluten free.

Does it contain traces of dried fruit?

It may contain traces of nuts. newyou. is almost artisanal so we do not have a single specific “industrial” line that can guarantee the non-existence of traces.

Can everyone eat this chocolate?

Yes, there are no contraindications for either chocolate or probiotics.


In the clinical studies that have been carried out with the BPL1 strain, no contraindications have been detected in any case.

How much sugar does it have? What is it sweetened with?

newyou. does not contain added refined sugars. We achieve the balance with cacao through the agave plant. Agave syrup is a sweetener of plant based origin that does not have to undergo the same process of other vegetables, which generate sugars full of calories and devoid of nutrients. The agave, 70% fructose and 25% glucose, manages to maintain very essential nutrients such as vitamins (A, B, B2, C), iron, phosphorus, proteins and niacin which help to gently naturally balance the sweetness of newyou.


You will not notice the difference on your palate but you will notice the difference in your health by not ingesting refined sugar.

Is the taste of newyou. bitter because it does not have added sugars?

newyou. is sweetened using agave syrup, thus providing the necessary balance with the bitterness of the cocoa.

I am diabetic, can I consume newyou.?

You can have newyou., but keep in mind that, although we do not use refined sugar to create it, it is sweetened with agave syrup. Agave has a glycemic index of 20 (compared to 100 for sugar).


It is best to consult your doctor or nutritionist to find out which ingredients are suitable for you.

Does this chocolate make you fat?

Our chocolate  is NOT FATTENING.


Cocoa is not fattening, on the contrary. According to clinical studies, a diet rich in cocoa can promote a feeling of satiety, which can help us moderate the amount of food eaten. In addition, it helps regulate blood glucose and cholesterol levels.


The more percentage of cocoa, the better for health. We have opted for a 70% quantity of cacao in every bar so that the taste is appreciated by most people and is not too bitter.


The sugar contained in regular chocolate can convert into fat. When sugar is metabolized in our body and transformed into glucose, which is absorbed in the intestine and from there passes to the liver. There it is transformed into glycogen and stored as an energy reserve up to a maximum amount of 100 grams in the liver and 200 grams in the muscles. If the amount of sugar ingested is such that the glycogen storage limits are exceeded, the excess glucose in the blood is transformed into fat in adipose tissue, constituting a form of long-term energy reserve: “If it is not used now, It will be used later”.


In newyou. we do not use sugar only 100% agave syrup with a composition of 70% fructose and 25% glucose compared to refined sugar, which is 50% -50% (100% sucrose). In addition, agave has a glycemic index 4 times lower than sugar, so its absorption is slower, which benefits your metabolic process and allows you to feel satiated for longer. In addition, it has a greater sweetening power, so you can consume a lower amount than common sugar.


100 grams of sugar has 380 calories. 100 grams of agave syrup 310 calories. Our recipe has 28 grams of syrup for every 100 grams of chocolate. And this is 87 calories. Each serving has 17.4 calories per part of the agave syrup.


(310/100 = 3.1 * 28 = 86.8 / 5 (20gr of tablet) = 17.36 calories per serving).

Should it be kept in the refrigerator?

It is not necessary to keep it in the refrigerator. In fact, to be able to taste chocolate in all its dimension, it shouldn’t be in the fridge. And regarding the probiotic, we have found a microorganism that is stable at room temperature. Both on the supermarket shelf and at home, it behaves with guarantees of viability (it means, that it is still alive and providing benefits) and sufficient quantity of probiotics (it continues to occur in sufficient numbers to have an effect on our body).


To add the probiotic to chocolate we have designed a series of processes that do not harm the probiotic and we have tested it in the laboratory that the results are the same as those of an encapsulated powder.

What is its shelf life?

The shelf life of chocolate is about two years, but we have tested in the laboratory that the probiotic is inactive after 12 months. Therefore, our expiration date is 12 months. Although it continues to be useful and provides the same inactive and active benefits, we could no longer speak of a probiotic (living organism) but rather a postbiotic; so we limit the expiration date to the life of the probiotic.

How many calories does newyou. have?

Counting calories should not be the basis of a diet; the interesting thing is to know the nutritional value of what you eat. Each recipe includes a breakdown of its nutrients, enter each variety in the  newyou. chocolates and contrast the nutritional information or look up the information about the agave we use to sweeten it.

What is the difference between the probiotics of newyou.and other probiotics such as kefir, kombutxa or yogurts?

The probiotics contained in newyou. are specific, safe and in adequate amounts to generate the benefits proven in scientific studies. Its benefits are concrete. While fermented foods, such as kefir, kombutxa or yogurts contain various safe strains, but without being able to specify exactly the amount or the specific benefit they provide. They are pro-life foods with general beneficial effects.

Cacao contains flavanols, what are they and how do they benefit us?

A flavanol is a type of flavonoid found in cacao. Flavonoids are antioxidant compounds that protect against cell damage. Research shows that the flavanols in cacao can help lower blood pressure, promote normal blood clotting function, and, as part of a healthy diet and exercise routine, help lower the risk of heart disease. Our raw chocolate contains six times more flavanols than conventional chocolate.
